Blake's 1st Solo Visit to Nonna & Papa's

Hello everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well and having a good week!  Emma starts the 1st grade next week so we are playing around and goofing off a lot this week, just enjoying our last few days of summer.  We spent the afternoon at the local water park.  A few hours of sun and chasing Emma and I am one tired Nonna!
Good thing I finished my layout this morning before the water park!  This layout is of Blake's first visit overnight visit to Nonna and Papa's house without Mommy and Daddy!  I know it was tough on his parents, but we loved every minute of it and he was just perfect the entire time!  We have had several overnight stays since and I'm thinking it's a bit easier for Mommy and Daddy now!  We always love having him with us and look forward to the next time!

Recipe:
* Paper - The Paper Studio - Sweet Pea
* Lace - The Paper Studio - Spare Parts
* Giraffe - Cricut's - Create A Critter cut at 6.5 inches
* Pins - Cricut's - New Arrival cut at 2.25 inches
* Rattle - Cricut's - New Arrival cut at 2.5 inches
* Journal Mat - Nestabilities - Classic Scalloped Rec (large)
 * Pearls - Liquid Pearls - Buttercup
 * Sentiment - My Pink Stamper

I love that sweet little giraffe! If you look closely at the blue mat, you can tell that I actually got brave enough to use my sewing machine to stitch around the edges! I really like this look and I think I will be trying it more often.

This is my husband's mother and she loved getting her hands on her great-grandson!

I think he's just the cutest giraffe!
Well, that's one more layout down and about a gazillion more to go!
Thanks for stopping by and I'll be seeing you soon.

Until next time,

  4. What a sweet LO. I love the giraffe and the lace was a nice touch. He's growing up fast. Those first few times away are tough on Mom and Dad. The first time I left my son it felt like I was gone FOREVER! I looked at the time and it had been 1 hour!!!!! I lasted 2 hours - then I had to go get him.
