Try This Angle

Hello and Happy Challenge Me Monday to you!
It's time for another challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

This week's challenge is Try This Angle.
For this challenge, you need to use a rectangle and a triangle.
Don't forget to include at least one Cricut cut on your project.
For this week's challenge, I created a simple graduation card for my sweet Emma.
I cannot believe that she is about to graduate from Kindergarten this Thursday!

For Emma's card, I used bright, primary colors.
I used my white gel pen to add stitching lines around both mats.
I placed a bright blue mat under the red rectangle and pop-dotted the layers for some dimension.
The "diploma" is a strip of white paper that I rolled up and tied with yellow ribbon.
The yellow mat is layered onto the red mat with a blue triangle in 2 of the corners.
Brightly colored brads finish off each mat.
Alphalicious was used to create K-5.  I used the basic Font and the Shadow Feature.

You can see the raised mats here.

Sometimes I think it is harder for me to create a "simple" card than one that is "over the top"!
It just seems like I should add something!  But, I'm going to try to leave this one alone.  My hubby keeps telling me that it will be perfect for little graduate.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit with me today and I hope you will head over to FCCB and check out all the fabulous projects created by the Design Team for this week's challenge.  When you finish up....go get creative and link up your project.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Until next time,
Tanya
